Sorry Spence, I have to disagree with you, and agree with nissan. That validation crap IMHO is meant for people who have nothing better to do with their time. Validation != imporant.

validation isn't important... accessibility is. I do not care about the gold star that a validator gives me... I care about wcag. If you do not try comply with WCAG then you suck and are not worth your salt as a web developer.
