That sentence isn't really coherent.  At first it seems like you're going to say, "You know, people think Battle.net is making up excuses for fixing stuff when really it's to stop hacks."  Then it seems like you're saying, "You know, people think Battle.net is really doing this to stop hacks, but really other stuff is being made."  Which is it?

I think he meant "You know, people think Battle.net is making up excuses for fixing stuff when really it's to stop hacks (and other third-party programs) from being made." I'm not sure though
