Hell yes. My AP World History teacher used to give extra credit it you could beat Civilization 1 on a certain difficulty ("Prince" or something along those lines).

Perhaps I can convince her to offer up the same deal with this one!

Yea I have Civ III + Expansion and I cant wait for this 1. The other computer game I cant wait for is the new Age of Empires from Microsoft

I spent lots of time On Civilization 3. It takes a looong time to beat. It's really fun though. I will definately be getting Civilization 4.
