This is for the Firefox BnetDocs search bar extension (lengthy name!).  I would like someone to add the following things:
"<!-- RESULT LIST START -->" just before the list of results on a search.
"<!-- RESULT LIST END -->" just after the end of the list of results on a search.
"<!-- RESULT ITEM START -->" just before the start of each item found in the search.
"<!-- RESULT ITEM END -->" just after the end of each item found in the search.

This would be very appreciated :)

Arta

Sure. I'll try and add this today, if you still need it.

Meh.  It's for the Firefox search dealy so it can sort the results in its side panel.  Not a feature I need, but some people probably use that thingy.

Also, I get "Your logon information is invalid. try again." from the mozdev.org plugin validator an from the search box itself until I visit the main page of BnetDocs.  Hrm.  I believe your anti-crawling has anti-searched :\

Arta

Well, if you visit the site without logging on, it redirects you through the logon process to log you in as guest. If the search thing doesn't follow redirect requests, then it's not going to work, I'm afraid.

I've added those tags but the FTP server seems to be broken at the moment. I'll upload it when it starts working again.

You could just make the search public from the net, like it is from the site.  Why is it that you don't have to be logged in to search from BnetDocs, but still get an error when you try to search bar it up?

Arta

I already explained that :)

When you visit the site, you get transparently logged on as guest. This is accomplished via HTTP redirects. If the search thing is not obeying redirect requests, then I suppose it's not getting logged in, and is thus getting the error message.

Perhaps get a packet log while you test and show me that? Might be able to help more then.

Kp

Why not do away with that silliness and just treat any non-logged-in user as Guest in the authentication checking code?

Arta

On checking it over, I am. Silly me :)

I don't know why it's not working. If you could get a packet log, or send me the plugin or something, I'll have a look.

Just open with notepad.  Firefox does all the hard work.  Put that and http://www.liquid-server.org/stuff/bnetdocs.png into X:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
I'll log it.

If I do not go to a BnetDocs page before doing a search, BnetDocs brings me to a page which says I need to login.

Blaze

It doesn't do that for me.. :-\
