Yes, but those large amount of rounds are part of the reason our kill ratios are so different. It's called cover/supressing fire, and it is a very combat tactic. A bullet that costs a few pennies is worth someones life.

Addition: This post is in response to the American vs. Chinese route that the thread has taken, and I apologies if anyone is pissed off because I have strayed from the initial topic as well.

---

Our middle class is leaving, and being taken over largely by the Chinese causing there economical growth. In the end the US will still contain a large amount of the excessively rich and the rest of us will just have to get more familiar with being poor.

To say that "Americans are getting fat and the Chinese are small quick and strong so they will win a war" sounds stupid. Our combat designated branches of military are far from fat and lazy, and are some of the most fit and trained troops in the world. Our branches such as the navy and air force may not be as fit but they have technological and fund advantages over everyone else's. Most wars with the US contain a kill ratio of, for example, 10:1. We loose wars now because they are not conventional and over time our presidents loose public support. A war with China would be much different than the wars we have fought within the last 50 or so years, they would be more conventional, and the kill ratios would probably still be about the same. I look at it this way, if the US is to contain a large percentage of all of the richest of the rich plus a vast amount of poor, our military power will not change much, and could possibly grow. Once the middle class economical shift does change, poverty will more than likely cause the growing fat trend to drop because we will no longer be able to live so comfortable. We will have a few guys with all of the money funding an even larger group of poor people that will be willing to go to war because they have no other choice to a decent life. The poor almost completely fuel our military now, and is only dampered because there is other options to a decent life for those of us that are given easier roads.

The US will more than likely have conquered outer space by then giving the US an even larger advantage.

The US will more than likely never go to war with China one on one while the rest of the world just sits back and watches. We will break off into allegiances and it will become WWIII. In my opinion this could be the start of a unilateral government, but that is a whole other topic.

In the end I think it just comes down to the US's tiny percentage of its population running international businesses and the balance of middle class shifting. The average American will start to suffer more, while the Chinese and such will start living better lives shifting the "Americans are getting fat and lazy" argument as well. I think things are a little more complicated then the US just falling off the face of the earth and the Chinese taking over. For all we know this economical shift is desired by the richest of the rich, but this is also another topic.

How does that stop terrorists from driving a boat into our harbors and setting off a biological or chemical weapon next to a large city? How does that address the illegal immigration problems that allow terrorists to enter our country?

All I see that doing is allowing our government to invade more and more of our privacies, eventually leading to them controlling every aspect of our lives because people think we are safer.

True if you have nothing to hide than why should you worry, but I doubt you would be singing the same tune if you were to wake up in some dark basement some day, held against your will, with out a trial because the government thinks you are a terrorist. So they got lucky once and got the right guy. What about the people that are NOT guilty?

I've always had only a saving account.  It's worked so far!

And $175/week is decent for a first job.  I was making around $120/week for my first job, doing 3 shifts/week.  Now I work full time and gross about $550/week (40 hours @ $19.00/hour).  How much do you get psaid/hour and what kind of hours do you work?

A checking account will give him access to a debit card. That way he will not have to carry cash around on him, and I think the benefits of that speak for themselves.

We have significantly less & less freedom but are only gaining slight security.

"Give me liberty or give me death"...I totally agree

Are we really any more secure? I really don't think we are.

A good way to take our freedoms away from us is to make us feel that we're not safe. Then they can convince us that a little less of our freedoms will make us safer. All I think it does is give our government more control.

A savings account should be automatically setup along with a checking account.

You have to ask yourself how many needs do you have that cost money? Try depositing half of your check into each of the accounts that way you have access to money when you need it, and a sum building that is in a way out of your eyes. In the end you're in control of whether you access the money or not, so if you can't control your spending it doesn't matter to much where you save.

Does anyone believe in the drive for a unilateral government by some secret groups of people? What would need to be done, to convince the American people, that our freedoms need to be taken from us? I have no proof, but a part of me can believe that 9/11 was conducted to convince us, Americans, that we need to give more of our freedoms to the government for one reason or another.

Are we any safer today than pre-9/11? Do we have less of our freedoms post-9/11?

Constructive criticism at it's best!

Networks, if you come to realize that human nature will never allow you to prosper, and let your will to take over, you will go far. Be proud of your achievements and carry on!

What's an asvab?

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.  It's an exam designed to guide an enlisted person into his job in the US military.

I don't think that there is an "average score," and I'm pretty sure there's not a "you failed" score.  Aside from that I know nothing.

Good luck!

A low score can keep you from being able to request certain occupations in the military and a low enough one can keep you from getting enlisted in certain branches.

I would suggest learning how to use the Java language, understanding its data types, and figuring out everything else needed to make a bot before you actually try. Grab a book, read a tutorial, or download the manual. One way or another I am sure you shall succeed.

Only your lower body? Work on everything, you wanna put on as much weight in muscles as you can, also work on your balance, it's impossible to knock a huge, heavy guy with balance over.

What would be the benefit of adding muscle weight if he is not physically fit in the first place? He should work on muscle strength and endurance before he attempts to add mass. Especially with the limited time frame he is looking at.

lol, that's a big leap. Just because it's a good idea doesn't mean people will do it.

I stated what should be an obvious answer; I am not trying to make any big leaps.

Just because people might not do it, I should not state a good idea?

Nobody here plays rugby.

A mile is two and a half laps around the school track, so maybe I'll run on that. I don't know when I would though. Maybe I'll just run in place for 25 minutes, that's definitely longer than it would take to run two miles...hows that? :P
Running on a treadmill and running outside is not the same, it is much more difficult to focus and be motivated knowing that you can stop any second. Like my track coach told me, "You can be tired, and quit right now. Or be tired, and finish this workout. You're gonna be tired either way."

Not only that but the lower extremity strengthening benefits are not as good as actual outdoor running.

I can agree Tuberload.  I guess for once we can get along, eh?  :)

(Nevermind what I said in your "I'm back!" thread^^)

Eh, and I didn't pay attention to it in the first place. It is amazing what can be accomplished when pride is set aside. Have a good night.
