As many of you probably know, I work in the "IT Security" field right now. We have a conferance soon, and the guy we work for made promises of a mascot to the people who are putting it on. So now it's been handed down to the students to come up with an idea for a mascot.
We've been going through several ideas relating to security:
White hat
Worms/Trojans/Viruses/Hackers
Some kind of animal that eats worms (birds, fish)
Some kind of animal that just looks cool (dragon, dog)
Some kind of superhero that fights cyberthreats ("Glenn the Enforcer")
Some kind of animal with a "shell" (turtle, snail)
But nothing that we can come up with appeals to us, so we're looking for ideas.
Reward
I know you all want to know what you get for coming up with a good idea. Well, there's a 50/50 chance that it'll be me wearing the costume, and this will be in the newspaper, and I WILL post pictures here if I am.

Thor (but with a news paper to kill bugs instead of a hammer... thor is cool enough, he doesnt need a hammer)
Oden (just because hes cool)
Vishnu (maybe each arm can have a different impliment, like some rolled news paper, a fly swatter, some poison, etc)
Gerbil (Becuase you underestimate it...)
A small cat (mine goes after bugs and such I guess)
A big fly swatter (it can talk and have a face)
Eh steve (from home star runner)

I'm liking the idea of "Tux", but I'm going to write down everything everybody says and bring it to work tomorrow, so keep with the ideas :)
There's always a sneaker for a mascot, just go with this for a min. Your main purpose is to examine and fix flaws and vulnerabilities within a system. That's exactly what a sneakers main purpose is.

test their security.
