Ever since I've been taking a bus, I've saved tons of money. $55/month for a buspass compared to >$100/month I was spending on gas (gas is ~$3.50/gallon here), and $180 four times a year for insurance. My parents offered to give me the van because they wanted a new one, but I refused -- I'm happier using the bus.

Ha! My car is the best! A '97 red Dodge Neon! Manual transmission, power NOTHING! Only one speaker works and the back passenger door is held shut by a pair of boxers. The turn signal stick is broken off two inches after it comes out of the steering colum. No glove box. Passenger side window cracked. Clutch makes squeeking noises. No dome light. Trunk does not open. Gas tank has a dent, so when the gauge says 1/2 its really just about empty. Thick white smoke comes out of the air conditioner. Drivers side door blue.

I bought a red one. At the dealership right now, they are bringing it around front. They don't make the blue, and I figured it was too much trouble to paint it blue, so I got the red. Will take pictures over the next week.

Oh hell yes, I was able to chirp the tires going into second gear tonight, on two of my runs. You're not supposed to be able to do that because of the extremely stick 18" Pirelli tires and the Volvo's computer taking 500 readings per second and adjusting prior to an actual tire slippage. Probably because there were 3 adults in the car the added weight made it possible, but I don't know. On the S60R forums and on SwedeSpeed, people were tossing around ideas of how to actually break the tires loose, and it is very hard for even those racing types.

Thats the North Face Edition Chevy Avalanche. I like it because it has all the features that I need in a truck, 4WD, plenty of torque in low gears, lots of cargo space with the removable rear window and collapsable seats, tons of towing capacity, and enough ammenities to keep me comfortable all the while.

The Escalade is a piece of shit. It's nothing but chrome and fake wood. It has next to no towing capacity even if you get the tow package, it wouldn't even come close to being efficent as an off road vehicle, and its more than 60k. It's an overgrown station wagon. Bolted on a bigger exhaust, but what's with the second exhaust tip? It's single exhaust. The one on the right looks like it's just hanging off the bumper :p Not really dual exhaust. It's an inline-4 cylinder, and the header goes to the single exhaust pipe, then the back of the car shows two tips! heh.
Otherwise, looks like he put in a cold air intake, which will help thrust and responsiveness most of the time.
Tell him to do wheels and brakes next. You want big brakes on there before you start putting in more power on the engine, or you'll end up crashing it because the brakes cannot compensate for all the new power. Believe me I have 13" Brembo brakes and have used them several times already.

Not as much done to it as I saw earlier when I was workin on no sleep. For some reason I saw the intake as a turbo and the pipe running down to a intercooler. But it's still not a bad looking little car.

Case of motor oil, along with a mag-lite (blue to match the car haha), some pool noodles, a beach ball, paper towels, and a bottle of windex. No Grok though, sorry.
The beach ball and noodles are used for a game I invented with friends one very dull summer night. It's basically field hockey, but the beach ball is the puck and the noodle is your stick. To score, you hit the oppents light post, or tree.

Find a mexican autobody shop that looks iffy, they'd fix you up for half the price of the repairs. You'd have some hot parts, but it'd be fixed.

I drive a 99' Jeep Cherokee Limited. It's currently got a big dent in the side thanks to me sucking at life. My parents said I could take half of the insurance money and spend it on whatever or I can get it repaired. I'll prob. get it repaired lol.
Find a mexican autobody shop that looks iffy, they'd fix you up for half the price of the repairs. You'd have some hot parts, but it'd be fixed.
We don't have stuff like that here.

It's cool -- I put it in a snowbank today. Easy fix, toss it to neutral, pull the thing that says FOUR WHEEL DRIVE on it, and stick it back in drive. :)
