Can you answer some questions?

1) What is the software you're using
2) Since it looks like an official client, have you tried reinstalling?
3) Have you mucked around with any registry settings?
3.5) Have you tried using different servers?
4) can you resolve useast.battle.net?
5) Can you connect to useast.battle.net on 6112
6) Do you have the latest patch? (ftp://ftp.blizzard.com)
7) Have you _ever_ been able to connect?
8) Are you connecting through any kind of a router or proxy?

Please answer those to the best of your ability.

4)I don't understand

I can't remember the right way to do this right at the moment, but from the command prompt type "ping useast.battle.net"

You'll get something like this:
PING useast.battle.net (63.240.202.126) 56(84) bytes of data.

The pings will time out, but if you get that far it's good.  If you see this:
ping: unknown host useast.battle.net

Then we have a dns problem.  Try that and get back to me.

Windows M.E. = dos? If so you bring up dos to ping the server like iago says. Just thought I'd toss that in in case he doesnt understand where he would find the command prompt. But I just ran a search on ME and it says no real DOS mode so you may have to go to run in your start menu and type CMD then click ok and do what iago says.

Yeah, to get a command prompt (Note to everybody; this is NOT dos), go to start, run, and type "cmd".  If that doesnt' work, try "command".
