My freind who has a ATI 8500 has no problems with it, his brother who has a 9000 has many...should i consider getting my ATI 9200?
If anyone knows anything please reply.
Radeon 9600 or 9800. Don't comprimise your gaming.
Well i have a 9200 , the card itself has given me no problems , the fact that my motherboad is underdone is another thing thought.
The 9200 Pro can play any of the current games out at near-top performance as long as you have the proper drivers. However, since I bought mine (August) the price has dropped about 30ish dollars and now it's better to just get the 9600 XT - It provides the best bang for your buck imo.
Ty for your advice

I want some of what you've been smoking.
Only 9800 pro 256mb does that.

Not quite, my 9700 does, my friend's 9600 does too.
9800 is still better. ;)

Prove that what I said is wrong, I've not come across any game that has any graphics problems with my 9200. However, this may only be because the most graphics intense games I play are BF1942 and Call of Duty. I also beleive Hostile posted that 9200 Pro can run any game at near-top performance as well.
It may be able to run any game, but at near top performance?

Same here. I own a Radeon 9000 Pro. The latest games I've played have been Unreal Tournament 2004 and Guild Wars -- they run perfect (with all graphic settings on high).

Yes.
Spht: Unreal Tournament 2004 Beta (haven't played regular) and Guild Wars ran fine for me as well.
Then my 9800 was totally unnecessary... :o

The frames per second you get out of the 9800 is probably 10x what he gets out of the 9000. Relax, your investment will carry you for a couple years.
I have a 9700 256MB DDR, it's a generation old, but I still expect it to last for a few years yet. My motherboard only supports 4x AGP so I'm not running the card to its full capacity either. But, all of my games run as smooth as can be, so no complaints. I have Unreal Tourney 2k4 running on max resolution with max details, no slowdown whatsoever.
