Can someone please tell me the easyest and newbiest packet finder there is. I cant seem to get the this and that of packet searching. I always find like 100 packets in like 2 secounds of it being on in like wpe so can someone help me out?
well i prefer WPE Pro.. so if you don't want that
try that packetlogger at the top of the forum's
www.ethereal.com.
If you don't want to be getting 100's of packets/second, make sure nothing is open except what you want to log. If you're still getting packets when you're doing nothing, run a virus scan.
Another way is, if you know the port that is going to be used, you can specify a "capture filter" that says "port 6112" for example.

Turn off "Capture Packets in Promiscuous Mode" also. If that's enabled, Ethereal will attempt to capture all packets that are on the wire in your network.

That's true, but it depends what setup you have. My stuff goes through a switch to DSL, so I'm ok for that and tend to forget about it :)
