hey my friend just taught me the basic crap on VB like timers buttons renaming crap, etc and i was wondering if anyone could tell me where i could start out at on making a chatbot no commands or anything special, just talk.

allthough i believe its in C++. Im sure the VB one (which was on bots`r`us website) might still be lurking around on the web somewhere.
or get Vaporchat from www.planetsourcecode.com - that's in VB
yay! MY NEWBIE VAPOR BOT STILL LIVES!
www.spez-2k.net/vbotsource.zip - If thats still a working link
All good programmers have to start somewhere Atom ;D
The VB bot with source that used to be on bots'r'us was my TCPClient, properly written for people to learn how to make a bot for bnet in VB.
I still have it on a backup zip.

This isn't completed, but it's a really good start if you can figure out what's going on.

No. After we lost access to the web site, we stopped updating things. I don't think any of us have backups of the site; I lost it when I installed Windows 2000. The forum (http://boards.gamers.com/messages/overview.asp?name=bnetbots) slowly died off with the web site as well.
I don't know if this will be any help, but you might be able to find a copy the website at: http://web.archive.org
Look, google from 1998! http://web.archive.org/web/19981202230410/http://www.google.com/

Making a quick update before i leave on a small skiing trip ;). Uploaded Souldestroyer bot v.15, main noticable changes were a smaller chat screen and the ability to choose servers.
