Whats the difference between - and +?

Whats the difference between - and +?
I don't know, but a +/- drive is best so you can buy the disks that are on sale at the time.
Yeah I was thinking about that, but -/+ are pretty expensive, are they not?
+/- are a little over my price range, I'll stick with the cheaper DVD-RW.
Yet I still want to know the difference, it might change my mind.
+ is better for video editing
+ has generally more nice features particularly when it comes to background formatting, writing only part of the disc, appending/replacing things etc
- is perfectly fine if you want to use it like a regular cd-r, burn once and use many
From what I have seen, a +/- burner today costs less than a - only burner did a year ago. I see no reason to pick a - only burner.
I've seen a +/- rw for cdn$129 (that would be like usd$90). I bought mine (External usb2.0, +/-, 4x) for $229.
I've looked around a bit, and all I can afford if a -.

You'll waste more disks with a -, so you perhaps should wait till you get the extra little bit for a +/-?
And don't forget to allocate money for buying disks, too, I buy packages of 25 for $60, they're decent quality and they're a pretty blue color :)
+ is better than -.
I beleive - is incompatible with the DVD-Video format (eg, DVD movie players), and is just all-around not that great. You can't read +DVDs with - drives, and vice-versa if I remember correctly (it's been about a year since I looked at DVD drives though, so I'm a little foggy).
If it were me, I'd go +/-, simply because + is that much better.
Ok, I'll try to go with the +/-.
I'll talk to my brother and mom.
The DVD Burner is gonna be a easter present for the whole family, so I'll see if I can get a more expensive one (a +/-)
Easter present? Are you supposed to give easter presents? Kinda like Christmas?
The Easter Bunny brings me candy ;D.

In my family, yeah ;D
I get chocolate :(
I won't get chocolate, just because I'm getting the DVD burner :(

Why the frown, turn it upside down. Candy is candy, especially free candy.
