That reminds me of something my Philopsophy teacher once told me. During an advanced philosophy class in college, the professor came in to give his exam. The exam turned out to be an essay, and the question, as the professor wrote on the board, was simply "Why?" One student thought a moment, scribbled down a few words, turned in his paper, and left. When he got his paper back, he had recieved an A. His response to the essay question, "Why not?"

That's a great idea - I should do that, but ofcourse I'm only getting a 73% right now in Chemistry so it wouldn't be a good idea >:(

Too stupid to be funny in my opinion. That's like throwing shit on a wall and saying it's funny. Would've been more funny if there was some finesse to the answers, in many cases if you have deeper knowledge in a subject than the teacher, you can produce answers that are correct, yet not matching the way they'll be grading them - perhaps because they are teaching things in simplified way.

Hahaha you said "shit" ;)

Granted that's true, but he obviously didn't know more than the teacher.  And I've only taken Chem up to Grade 12, and I could have done that exam, so obviously, if he threw the exam like that, he's either not very smart (ie, this was his minor or something he's never done) or it's one of the courses where you get 4 tests and graded on the best 3, and he's already gotten 3 good ones.

In CS, they did that with labs.  I know a guy who got 100% on the first 3 labs, then, on the third one, his entire program was structured in many, many ?..: structures.

Well, that's the kind of test humor I like - when you produce an answer that is correct in some way and solves/answers the question, yet is "wrong"...

I'll admit he could have been more clever and had more fun with it, but eh?

Why do you always make irrational comparisons?

I typically make logical, rational, illustrative or funny comparisons. You are hereby invited to make a thread in my forum for complaining about my posts or comparisons. Post quotes, and I'll see what I can do about explaining/defending them.

I did something similar on a quiz last week, when I didn't know the answer, explaining it into some theory I heard but forget the name of. "It just is, because if it wasn't then the world wouldn't function properly and you would not be asking me this question." Unfortunately, I didn't know the answers to about three questions and put stupid answers that were correct but incorrect.
Example: What is the difference between [term 1] and [term 2].
Answer: They are spelled/pronounced differently.

She didn't get mad or anything, just said I was goofy on my answers...oh well, I still passed. :P

Well, in Computer Organization they were a question that said "Define the following" and one was an equation we learned.  I didn't remember it, so I just "defined" the equation (ie, gave its uses).  No idea if I got marks for it, though, we don't get our exams back.

Exactly.  Do you see under my name where it says vL?  It means I have rights here.

That test looks mad easy, in comparison with my chem tests. That guy is just a royal dumbass. You should have picked up most of that stuff by just daydreaming in class all term.
