Title: BNLS Down?
Post by: Guest on March 01, 2003, 06:47 PM
I noticed that all the bots that have bnls, that, wont connect to bnls anymore, it stops at the message where it says,
Connecting To Bnls...

Even on my bot, which i have been making for 2 weeks, uses cleanslatebot, and wont go past that part anymore, it did 2 days ago fine, but not now,

I can't acces the site either ;\

There's no difference between a chat connection and a binary connection.

If you wanna get dumb and technical there is no such thing as a chat or binary connection.

That's my point.  Chat and binary connections are the same.

The communication protocol used after the connection is different though.

Chat/textual connections use data terminators to delimit the information segments.  In addition, all data is represented as text.  No other data type is present in the stream.

Binary protocols vary, but their packets are not delimited by termining characters.  Data types are transmitted byte-for-byte onto the stream.
