The 2004 Nextel Cup Series begins today at Daytona International Speedway!
Some observations and opinions of mine:
1. It will take me a while to get used to saying Nextel instead of Winston.
2. I think the new aerodynamic changes that are implemented should make for an exciting race.
3. I am curious to see how the new points system will work out.
My dad loves nascar. I love watching the cars crash as long as nobody gets hurt. :P

NASCAR is Americas favorite pastime. Since I was five all my racecars have been black numbers threes. I want Jr. to take all. He will. Mark Martin is getting washed up btw, hence the pfizer car... viagra.. thats never a good sign.. soon he'll be driving the depends undergarment number 99.
On a side note, I for one will never stop saying Winston Cup.... Thats like chewing tobacco out of baseball.. fuck it, dip and cigs are my favorite thing to do.
Jiggy is right about MM. His replacement has already been named and that name is Carl Edwards. He's a young fire-pisser driving a Roush truck right now.
Post race interviews:
I really liked Tony Stewart's crack about John Andretti doing stupid things all the time. Harrdy Har Har! Like Tony hasn't punched out a reporter, rammed other cars after the race, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, ..............................
Hahaha, ya reminds me of cole trickle in days of thunder.. lol! By the way, new points system sucks... I think in a way its going big business... nascar used to be the only sports... not about big business... or making it so obvious anyway.
Ah and thing.. perhaps you know this. I was thinking since racing is privately funded.. or perhaps each team paid for by sponsors... IE: privately funded companies no matter how big. What the hell is up with the US Army car... unlimited funds... He should be winning every race... lol. How does funding work for the US Army car do you know? Is it capped?
Well....EARNHARDT WON IT!! Too bad for Mark Martin :( The crash with Micheal Waltrip was bad. At least he is ok. Nextel Cup.. :-\ Just not the same.
