Most people I know have socks for christmas yet the only pairr i can remember I had were slipper socks I asked for.

hmm neat! I got a new monitor, a new case fan, cold cathode, clothes, cds/dvds/games. I also got a ton of bestbuy gift certificates which I used to buy a new speaker system, a digital camera, and Warcraft II (since my disk got messed up) I got some other stuff too but don't feel like getting up to see what it was :P.

Ugh, all my presents

Last year, I just asked for my present to be cash, so I got $200 + a few small things from each side, and I paid the rest myself. This year, I'm doing a workterm instead of classes, which only counts as a single class or $300 (rather than the usual $1500 for 5 classes), so I don't need money for that.
So bottom line, no. I work 24 hours/week during school and 30-40 out of school to support myself right till now. Now I'm going to be making good money for 4 months and be able to pay for it myself.
I'm just saying don't be ungrateful for all your parents do for you already.
I'm not, what I get from them is awesome. But it's not fair to get a computer PLUS tons of games PLUS cash. :)
