Personally, I liked Counter-Strike 1.5 better, but I guess I can live with Steam and 1.6.

Agreed, 1.5 was definitely better.  I don't agree with 1.6's increased hitbox sizes, easier headshots, etc.  Making the game more newbie friendly definitely wasn't the move to make.  Furthermore, i don't like the new ladder crap, and also the new running speeds etc.  But it's not that bad I guess, I also agree with you in that I can live with it :)

i like 1.6 better, the maps are more interesting, and the new guns arnt that bad
also, the shield isnt as bad as everyone says, there are disadvantages to it

Yeah, the new guns are cool, the shield would be better if it weren't so buggy.  I just think they didn't need to touch the little things like laddering, running speeds, and hitbox sizes.

Yeah, I dont like the fact that it's more newbie-friendly, but yeah the new guns are nice.
