I have a problem with a Lexmark X85 printer. I want to print my photos in 4x6 size which is standard photo size. I can't get it to print in this size. Anyone have anu ideas? I am using a Apple Mac OSX.
Thank you.
I think we need to make a "Tech Support Forum" for me to ignore :)
The first thing you need to do is scrap the GUI that comes with OSX and bring up a terminal. Go to http://www.cups.org/ and read up. You're better off this way.
./edit You might want to take a peak here http://developer.apple.com/printing/index.html
First idea, throw your mac out the window.
Second idea, throw the lexmark out the window.
Those are IMO (from experience) THE TWO worst pieces of hardware, and used together (*shudder*) the effects are catastrophic. Lexmark makes a good scanner, horrible software, and a horrible printer. Mac, well mac is just mac.
I agree, I remember when my dad and i brought a new printer of the brand Lexmark that was supposed to use "new technology" into the printer. The second day we expierenced so many problems, we returned it asap. Never use shit from Lexmark unless they give it to you for free.
I didn't find it all that bad, the scanning does a decent job, and they're cheap (I think ours was included in a bundle). The printing however is the WORST I have ever seen, I would have liked a printer frm the 80's over that thing.
HP makes a VERY good printer.
Thanks for the suggestions. Its for my grandad rally not me. What about the Epson. He wants a printer mainly for printing digital photos.
