Sorry if im annoying you guys with questions.Just trien to learn a lil bit...Does anyone know have a source that just connects to war3 withought all the extra stuff on it so i can try and learn to connections.
How do you connect to War3?
What extra stuff?
Dare I say it? http://yoni.valhallalegends.com/BNLSProtocolSpec.txt is ... pretty much a 'source' with no extra stuff on it. Take a look, it's pretty straightforward.

There is no NON-BNLS source code for war3, you must use BNLS.

Presumably Blizzard doesn't use BNLS for their Warcraft III clients.

lol ;D - but presumably Blizzard doesn't publish their source code for the Warcraft III clients.
Just because it isn't public doen't mean that it does not exist. It might just be harder or impossible to acquire.

I guess you to follow the same examples as getting cdkeys, go infaltrate blizzard, get an ex-bnet programmer to help you, etc... Otherwise I dont think they will email you the source (i already tried).
For the love of God... please proofread your posts before clicking the "Post" button! Usage of legible spelling, grammar, and punctuation is also appreciated.
Blizzard should use some kind of BNLS system.. would make it harder to reverse their protocol and make a 3rd parter server ;)

Nah, then we'd just make use of their BNLS-like system.

Yeah, I thought of that. But at least you wouldn't be able to make a pure bot :)

OR -- you could do what BlueDragonBOD did to acquire the nbbot source code from Blizzard.

That doesn't really make a whole lot of sense - what are you defining a "pure" bot as?
A bot that connects directly to the server on its own. I talked myself into a corner the first time I mentioned it, so leave me alone! :P

I would consider the authorization server part of the Battle.net login system and not third-party if your situation were true.

Like I said, I stopped making sense. :P

I wouldn't be surprised if referencing NBBot would be lost on most people here.

I know what NBBot is, but the rest is lost on me :)
but I see no reason to spoil the suspense.

So what exactly DID BlueDragonBOD do to get the NBBot source?

That's a very good question with a very interesting answer.
Care to share?
It remains one of the most interesting segments of battle.net history. A story well-worth hearing.
Well, at least it was cleverer than psy.
