Why don't you try and learn HTML..?
Once you grasp the concept of HTML you can advance, If you don't understand HTML I doubt you'd understand PHP.
Well you got any suggestions for being better at html.
Read a book..?
Look online..?

XHTML+CSS is dead.
XML+XSLT is the present and near future.
I think a Google Search would best solve my problem?

Eww@extra typing for me.
XML is fun, i'm learning that right now in Class for the MCSD Certifications woo hoo.
Hey Grok, i'm just curious about what Certification did you go for? MCSD or MCAD?
I hear that the 70-310 Exam is fairly harder than the 70-320 exam, well thats what i hear from my friends that have taken them.
XML is a Bad Thing. It has zero reason to exist when many better technologies are already implemented.

I'm getting the retiring MCSD before it expires in July 2004. Most programmers are moving from VB6 to .NET, but most existing applications are written in VB6. There will be a zillion consulting opportunities for me to fix all these old programs, and thus plenty of money.
Once I get that one nailed, I'll complete my MCDBA and then worry about MCSD.NET certification.
Grok, what certifications should I get?
Everyone trusts a hacker (http://www.eccouncil.org/CEH.htm), although that's probably not what you're looking for :P
Storm it depends what you want to get into. the MCSD is for Web Based Applications and Databases, SQL Server 2k, SQL ANSI, XML Web Services, you also need to know if you want to do the newer exams in vb.net or C#.net. Not sure of all the Exams but i can look them up for you if you want.

Masters degree from MIT.
Isn't that the hardest school in the country to get in to? I heard it's harder than Harvard.
I do take courses there and I have a few "inside connections."
It's just my opinion based on what I know about you, which includes knowing the type of opportunities available to you, your ability, and so on. Forget 'certifications', they're for guys like me who don't have a college degree.

Harvard's overrated. Princeton, I believe, is the hardest school to get into; atleast they are the most selective.
I would still much rather go to MIT.

Undergraduate career doesn't really matter that much. Graduate career does. That's the opinion I have formed.
I am more interested in a military/CIA/NSA type of career, so a degree from MIT would be ideal in my situation.
Most people don't get into the CIA/NSA unless ure either in the Military, or State Police. The only other people they have are hackers. And you got to be one good Hacker.
I'm going into the marines, so I already have it planned, but this is way off topic.

If you're a very good mathematician, you have excellent chances to get into the NSA. They employ more mathematicians than any other organization in the (USA? World?).
It has been said that the NSA employs over 90% of the world's cryptoanalysts.
The building the math crypt people are in is like a mile down the street from the NSA Building. We had to be like check before we go into the buildings. Plus when we drive by and your near the building they listen to everything. So there for they employee more Specialty people then they do Math People. Not that being good at math doesn't help cause it does.
I'm not really the one to point out spelling mistakes or grammer errors, i just don't like reading posts 2 or 3 times over, just to get the grasp of what your trying to say. So, do yourself a favour, either type out your posts in MS Word or have a better eye for this type of thing.
It also tends to make yourself sound or seem smarter and more professional.
Moot. He's banned.
U didn't ban me Grok I am still here!!

I recall seeing that person drop by in the channel a few times, but not saying anything particularly useful.
