Title: Harddrive S.M.A.R.T. support
Post by: iago on September 25, 2003, 02:56 PM
My BIOS has this option, and it's disabled by default.  What does it actually do, and is there any point to leaving it disabled?

Thanks!

Edit: on a sidenote, I tried to check on google but it ignores punctuation so everything with "smart" in it gets returned

I'm using dtemp to monitor my hard drives' temperatures and S.M.A.R.T. attributes.

dtemp does work quite well.
