Title: .Net Framework
Post by: WinSocks on September 17, 2003, 10:22 PM
My friend got some .Net Framework Runtime Files for Linux RedHat.
Could Microsoft be developing a .Net Framework for Linux Systems?

i think it would be good for that since i run linux redhat on one of my boxes.
And the fact i'm learning VS.Net. It would be great if Microsoft got off their butts and made one :P

What u guys think of this .Net Framework for Linux?

That sounds like Mono (http://www.go-mono.com), a project unaffiliated with Microsoft (I doubt they'd bother trying to port their own .NET framework implementation to *nix).

Mono pleasantly surpised me; it runs asp.net fairly well.
