Title: Google calculator!
Post by: Yoni on August 23, 2003, 08:48 AM
Just enter a mathematical expression into the Google search box, and it will happily calculate it for you! (As well as display search results, if any.)

Some examples:
1+1 (http://www.google.com/search?q=1%2B1)
17/42 (http://www.google.com/search?q=17%2F42)
e (http://www.google.com/search?q=e)
pi (http://www.google.com/search?q=pi)
sqrt(-1) (http://www.google.com/search?q=sqrt%28-1%29)
(1+2*i)*(3+4*i) (http://www.google.com/search?q=%281%2B2*i%29*%283%2B4*i%29)
e^i (http://www.google.com/search?q=e%5Ei)
e^(i*pi)+1 (http://www.google.com/search?q=e%5E%28i*pi%29%2B1)

Some other examples:
answer to life the universe and everything (http://www.google.com/search?q=answer+to+life+the+universe+and+everything)
log(sqrt(answer to life the universe and everything + 7) + 1) / log(2) (http://www.google.com/search?q=log%28sqrt%28answer+to+life+the+universe+and+everything+%2B+7%29+%2B+1%29+%2F+log%282%29)

Some useful conversion stuff:
one mile in km (http://www.google.com/search?q=one+mile+in+km)
two grams in pounds (http://www.google.com/search?q=two+grams+in+pounds)

That makes sense... There are either 0 or infinite correct answers, depending on how you look at it :)
