Title: We now have a CVS
Post by: Adron on July 08, 2003, 09:19 PM
All that remains is to come up with something to put in it.... :P

If any member wants to collaborate with others on some kind of programming project, and wants access to CVS, tell me.

do you have a way to sign up? Anyways most people who are working on projects for fun don't really need CVS cause it isn't worth the effort but thats cool.

It's mostly for members wanting to run some kind of project that isn't competely open to the world, but shared between a few people. If you want completely open source you can just as well use source forge. To "sign up", just talk to me in channel. Most people don't need CVS, but it can be useful and it's a tool worth learning to use.

ya but the thing about sourceforge is that its a bitch because you have to create a project to use it and share your code with everyone. Open Source is only great for certain projects and isnt' for others. I myself don't really team up on projects like I used to so I don't need CVS.

I suggest using TortoiseCVS, if you're on windows.

What are the advantages compared to WinCVS?
