Title: Any good books or preferred resources for starting with C++?
Post by: syntaqx on May 09, 2011, 02:49 PM
Hey everyone.

I've been working primarily in php for quite some time, and have a thorough understanding of the language.  I've been wanting to get into some C++ for a while now, and understand that it's very similar to php, as the php is based from C.  I was curious if anyone had recommendations of books or online resources I could use as a starting point?

Any other help you feel may assist me in the learning curve, such as compilers, or whatever you might know of would be awesome as well.

Much Appreciated.
