Other Starcraft Expansion Packs?

I'm downloading em both off some torrents, and I'll upload em to my site when I'm done. Did anyone else know about these?

Yeah. I remeber seeing these for sale on ebay years back, but I always assumed they were just some fan created campaigns or something like that. Never really bothered to look into them.
Theres a few more campains that they did iirc, not sure if they were sold though.
They were basically just map packs from what I remember. Other than that I never really knew too much about them.
Well, Retribution finished downloading, just waiting on Insurrection now.
They are "unofficial" addons made by other people. Retribution is quite good.
Actually, it says they're both endorsed and authorized by Blizzard...
unofficial and authorized are two distinct things..
Like Diablo - Hellfire, Blizzard authorized Sierra to make it, but officially didn't want anything to do with it.

AUTHORIZED AND OFFICIAL ARE DIFFERENT THINGS. Official is when it's produced, marketed, and sold by Blizzard entertainment.

I'd say anything that's authorized and endorsed by Blizzard can be counted as official. I think you're using official incorrectly.

I think you're using it incorrectly. You can authorize and endorse something without it being an Official product made by Blizzard.
Do you see a special version code for Insurrection or Retribution? Do you see special Battle.net icons for it? Do you even see any new units/tilesets added? Any new functionality?

It's still recognized by Blizzard as an expansion pack... that's what Authorized tends to mean in this context... recognized as part of something by the creator of said something. How much more official does it need to be for it to be official?

The wiki page for Retribution says it's an expansion pack. If you dispute that, tell wiki, not me. The page says I'm right.

I don't see "Add-ons" anywhere on the insurrection box. And like I said, take it up with wiki, not me
in case you did not know, wiki is edited by users, it does not have to be 100% factual and certain content may be misleading.

We all know, wiki's have more accurate information that Blizzard itself right? Blizzard may have authorized it, but I've never seen them "endorse" anything. There has never been any kind of press release or even hint that it existed.
If you want to know the history of both of them, both of the products died out and it's impossible to find them in stores now. So much for an "expansion pack" right?

Actually, I hate people, and I think relationships are a waste of time, money and energy. The human race is already way too overpopulated, so I see no point in procreation. I also hate myself, and as such, don't believe in imposing myself upon others IRL (Internet's different, because anyone who interacts with me does so of their own volition online. Offline, there's no squelch button), so I don't talk to people unless they talk to me.
I've felt emotionally attracted to one person in my entire life, and it wasn't mutual, so I gave up on her. I've never felt a physical attraction in my life, and don't really care to.

Hellfire is still an "expansion pack" to the original Diablo, even though Blizzard had nothing to do with its development.
Thing is hellfire brings new content to the game itself, aka altering the game, kinda like broodwar brings new units. Those addons don't alter the game, they are just a bunch of maps that anyone could make without having any programming knowledge or source code to the game.
exactly, shadow. that's the reason why insurrection and that other one are map packs, maybe they just might be approved by blizzard, but it's still a map pack.
