A group has recently cracked the HD-DVD encryption key and has published it on the internet. This key eventually found its way to digg.com and was later censored by the digg staff.
The number is the key you need in order to decrypt and watch HD-DVD movies in Linux.
The digg community was outraged and planned a Googlebomb to show digg.com that they will not stand for censorship. The front page of digg.com shows an incredible amount of stories about this. Many digg users also plan to boycott digg.com
Update: digg.com eventually took their site down.

It's not anything new that HD-DVD's encryption has been broken. It's been broken for several months now, Blu-ray has been cracked as well (though they should be killing the leaked AACS keys soon).
:P Why anyone would want HD-DVD is beyond me, less storage capacity ='s less quality! Not to mention the utterly inferior and out of date scratch protection HD-DVD uses.
