Title: bnetwiki.org
Post by: Spht on February 18, 2007, 08:43 PM
bnetwiki.org (http://www.bnetwiki.org/) has launched!

I noticed that people tend to go off talking about Battle.net clans, bots, users, services, etc on the Wikipedia Battle.net article (which is not appropriate), so I felt the need for a dedicated Battle.net Wiki.

Hope you enjoy!

Nice work. I'll be happy to create some pages for it.

Though, what limitations do you intend on giving it? Like what clans can add themselves, what people can add themselves, etc? Please elaborate on it. :)

[EDIT] Added some articles, and setup a category for bots (http://www.bnetwiki.org/wiki/Category:Bots).

We will develop an offical Policies and Guidelines at some point, but for now, anyone that has made some kind of contribution to the Battle.net community deserves a wiki article, as well as any clans.

Just try to keep all information clean, easy to read, non-bias, and accurate, and provide citations where necessary to avoid disputes.  This wiki is basically a map of Battle.net's history and current events.  Examples of articles to be covered are notable Battle.net users (along with their contibutions), notable clans, definition of several Battle.net-specific terms (such as channels, bots, warring, flooding, winbot, clans), etc.

This is what an article's Talk page is for.  Maybe there should be a page about who did work on SRP and when, and when it was publically available, etc?
