Title: limit/graph question
Post by: Probe on September 21, 2006, 03:11 PM

could someone explain how to find the limit of the function as x approaches 3? i seem to be having trouble with this since im not given the function, just the graph. incase anyone is wondering about the drawing, the function is suposed to be intercepting the graph at (1,0), the rest is pretty accurate.  thanks!

What does "limit as x approaches 3" mean?

How does the function behave for values of x near 3?

Read the few paragraphs under "Definition" (don't read below, it won't interest you).

Read this page. You don't have to understand it completely, but maybe it'll give you some sense of what's going on with limits.
