hi, can anyone halp me whit my eternalchat bot, because since battle.net changed i cant log in whit this bot, and i really need to get online. plz help me :D
It would be up to Spht to fix his bot. It isn't a difficult task either. I'd love to see him update his bot, it's my favorite chat bot ever ;).
It seems he's updated SphtBot and WebBot already. So, there's a good chance he will upgrade EternalChat, atleast that is my guess.
Best chat bot of all time ;)
Fix it please.

The oper.dll plugin adds a much more advanced (from EternalChat's) channel moderation layer to SphtBotv3. It also fully supports the NBBot scripting system

It's not just the fact that SphtBotv3 can do everything that EternalChat can do plus more, there are probably 500 bots that would fit into this comparison. EternalChat bot is almost old school in a sense, it's been around for a long time compared to many bots out there. I've used it for over a year straight, running it 24/7 that entire time. In less words, I've grown accustomed to using this bot (EternalChat). I'd love to be able to use it once again.

That's what I've been loving about EternalChat. Its a great, solid, stable bot that hasn't had a problem for me yet :).
The only thing basically stopping EternalChat from working is a single byte in memory. So if someone wants to fix that, then go ahead and I'll update the website. I have no idea where the source is.
While you're at it, you could update the version bytes for each product, as they've gone horribly outdated.

I took the liberty
http://www.valhallalegends.com/spht/eternalchat_.zip
Changes:
- Updated bot to work with recent changes to the Battle.net server.
- Updated the version codes for all products to be current.
This was updated by directly modifying the executable. I am unable to test it, so let me know if it works. Could someone also verify that the version codes for each product are up-to-date?
Says can't find server.... I think you guys need a new host or something.
I still seem to get the BNLS failed version check error.
it stills says

No problems with me. I think you should stop trolling or something.

www. no longer accepts BNLS connections. You need to connect to bnls.valhallalegends.com
...I was trying to go to http://www.valhallalegends.com/spht/eternalchat_.zip . However, it now works. So like I said, you guys need to get a new host or something.

Why would they get a new host when the one they have is great?
Because it seems to be down quite often? Half the time I try, I can't view the BnetDocs subdomain. Most the time I try, I can't view the main site. The forum subdomain is the only part of the site that works at all times for me. I'm not "trolling", i'm just telling you guys it seems like it's not very good.

I never have this issue. It is very rarely offline for me. I emphasize that, *very rarely*.

*sigh* then your site hates dial up users because i can't get to bnetdocs or the main site again...
Your connection speed doesn't really matter when the site decides to send or not send you the content. Contact your ISP if you can't properly resolve the hostnames or just get a better connection
It's not my ISP's doing, since this is the only site i have a problem on. And there's no way i'm paying $700 for sattelite (plus $60 a month).
Lately I've been browsing this site frequently (multiple times a day for about 2-3 months) and I have had no resolving problems.

What do you mean by "directly modifying the exe"? Did you just hex edit or something?
Lost one of battle.nets greatest bot sources.. bleh oh well...

Not lost, just misplaced
IIRC, EternalChat uses bnls.valhallalegends.com for connecting to BNLS, so that shouldn't be the problem.
Replace BNLS.dll with an updated version of bnetauth?
It'd be safe to bet he checksummed it or something. :P
hi spht, when i try to open the eternal it said "component mswinsck.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid :s" and close
whats wrong? ???
nvm :P i did open it, but now it still say "BNLS failed version check!" what should i do thx :-\

Misplaced? there's still hope for us :)
