Stop digging up old topics, especially when you have absolutely nothing of value to contribute. Consider this your final warning.

How about we make an arbitrary rule that Mitosis will be banned, always?
I object.
Hmm, Why not delete all threads more than four months old?

Most people have enough sense to not bring up ~9 month old posts.

There's always those few that don't. :(
Autolock topics that have been inactive for more than 2 months?
I would have to disagree with deleting or locking old posts. Some people actually post threads of interest on a topic, not a conversation. Later on down the road if someone has a previously answered question they can find the thread explaining it. If I was to post an information oriented post, and figured out a better solution later on down the road and couldn't add to my previous thread anymore due to a lock that would be frustrating.
People just need to use a little more common sense when it comes to posting.

That's like asking a retarded quadriplegic to tie his shoes.

So we should limit functionality to legit users because we have retarded quadriplegics running around here? No we should just place speed bumps in the correct places and keep them out. ;D

Maybe we can use them AS speedbumps?

If they decline, I'll volunteer.
Why not throw all the old posts and such into their own folder? Like Older then 4 month posts or such that way people can look at them and you can lock them or leave them up it's always up to you. That way everyone doesn't have to read them because their so old.

Why would we want to mix up posts on different topics into the same place? The posts are sorted by date, so if you go backwards you can stop reading at however old posts you want to read. Noone forces you to read 8 month old posts. It's good that they show up in a search though.
