Title: Packet With IP Address
Post by: FrostWraith on July 31, 2006, 12:28 AM
If this kind of topic is not allowed, I understand. I'm not trying to hack, but I'd like to ping users that join my games. So could anyone help me out, because I can't find shit with the logs I'm getting.

You can get the ping of users by whispering them.

I believe he means the ping time of the user to him, since he's hosting the game.. It'd be rather pointless to know their pingtime to the Battle.net chat server and could be useless anyways because you could be in a game without even being on Battle.net.  He should look into this message (http://bnetdocs.valhallalegends.com/content.php?Section=m&Code=144) for pinging users that joins his game.  Note this is only for UDP games such as Diablo games, Warcraft II, and Starcraft games

Warcraft III has a program that does this. Someone made it to show their country, and their pingtime. It can also show if their banlisted depending on if you ban them if they leave a game, it also says if someone is on the same IP as another user. It has alot of features on it.

Ya, it is used for DOTA (Popular WAR3 Game). It really just got me interested.

Yes. That's what it's used for.

Nevermind then, what I said wouldn't work for War3.
