Ok, I figure I'll give this forum a shot.
I installed Baldur's Gate 2 successfully in Cedega 5.01.
The game starts and works perfectly -- until it tries to save at all.
As soon as it saves, it freezes:

After about 30 seconds...

My guess(es) was (were) that the permissions for the save and/or parent folder were screwy, but after setting them to rwxrwxrwx for everybody, nothing new has happened.
Any suggestions?
No error messages are spit out into logs at all, no error messages on the terminal from Cedega. I'm running out of ideas and I don't wanna use vmware. :(
