Sure this is probably a newb question but do you do it? I want to have the minimize button just minimize the bot but have a seperate button if you want to minimize to tray. Anyone have ideas? I just need a start...

Hide your window and add a notify icon via Shell_NotifyIcon. If you need more help, do a search on the forum. This has been asked many times.
all u had to do was go to the bottom of the forum and u'd find this post about it
