Title: Dude turns 100...
Post by: CrAz3D on March 22, 2006, 07:00 PM
...but not after working at the same place for 75 years & missing but one day (when his wife died)!

That is just crazy awesome!

While watching video of him, he was walking around & picking stuff up, pretty dad-gum healthy for a dude turning 100.  He said is gonna keep active by volunteering to help old people.  I bet he's a good 15-20 years old than some of the "old people" he is helping.

Bullshit! That's really cool. Gosh that's some detirmination, his wife and all of his kids are all gone. I wouldn't want to have to outlive everyone I'm close too, that seems real depressing.

I don't consider someone's desire to be able to afford food as something requiring any significant amount of determination.  It's cool and all, but it's not that impressive.  Talk about a dead-end job.

Hey, as long as you enjoy what you do it's not a dead end job.

It's like Spike TV says...

"Did any old women turn 100 today?  Oh yeah, you don't want to know about that, because you and me, we watch Spike TV."

:P

My stepmom's grandma is 93 (and my stepmom has grand children.. it's not usual to have that many generations alive at once!).  Several all of her brothers/sisters and most of her children have already died.  It's gotta suck.

More useless posts to throw in with your useless posts like posting "nerd". Good job.

I think this is cool. You have to have motivation to keep going if you outlive everyone you love.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I think in 6 months he'll be dead. :P
