Title: Warez inquiry
Post by: Networks on January 23, 2006, 04:20 PM
Off-topic: (yes I can do that since I am moderator whoo hoo!)

Why is Invert so touchy about warez and etc.? Just curious, I never really got that.

joe: Quick interview, Invert
joe: Networks asks why your so touchy about warez and such.
Invert: warez on the vL forum?
joe: Yes
Invert: legal reasons
Invert: nothing personal
joe: Fair enough.

Trading of warez, cdkeys, or any other illegal activity will not be allowed from these forums.  By illegal activity I mean in the context of the state of Texas, and the republic of the United States of America.

If any moderator feels a post is advocating piracy or other illegal activity, the moderator will be correct in taking action against the post, and/or the person posting.

Even public posts that say "contact me I'll send you free warez" are over the line.

This is NOT up for argument, but think about it from the Kazaa perspective.  They did not themselves advocate file sharing, but they created a forum where such public trading was ignored.

We will not have such a forum, no matter how dissimilar is it to that situation.

I disagree.  Moderators should be setting an example.  For example, if they have a questoin like this, they should state it in a new thread.
