Considering each CD is probably worth $10 (maybe more), for a 60gb iPod that's ~$1,750 for one.

No thanks.

So I go to the store and buy 45 CDs (let's say, ~$10 each) which would total ~$450, rip them onto my computer, then send all the original hard cases and the CDs to them and they'll give me a 0.5GB iPod Shuffle?  I just lost over $300.  I don't see the point?

Yes but they have shitty rules like "Would you buy them? If not then they probabley wont pass."

"Would you buy them" probably refers to the condition of said CD.
Not would you buy them do you like the band

CD's are about 50$ for a 75 pack, something like that...

QuotePHYSICAL QUALITY is fairly easy to explain. The CDs must all be original CDs including jewel case and liner notes. (In other words no burned CDs or CDs in CD folders)

You don't buy regular CDs in packs of 75.

But you could buy a 50 pack, and in addition to that, a 25 pack.  That is, if you're trying to have exactly 75 CDs.  For what reason, I don't know.

To extend on what Lord said, for clarification: You don't buy regular CDs (as in music CDs) in packs of anything (unless it's a compilation), generally.

That would be SO entirely pointless though.
