Title: Wireless Network Issues.
Post by: Douglas on December 22, 2005, 07:13 PM
Hey guys, I am at a loss for words with my wireless network. I am using the LINKSYS WRT 54 G Router (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1127782957298&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper") & the  LINKSYS WMP 54 G Pci Adapter (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1115416826718&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper"). Running on Windows XP SP2 Pro.
My issue is this. the Network Connection icons in my system tray, will indicate that I have lost my service, only to attempt to reconnect itself or notifying me of accessable wireless networks in my area (I.E. Myself). It does this quite a few times until I shut down the PC, and restart. Now sometimes it will do this and say that I am not connected to the internet, but surfing right along. I would like your opinion on this matter.

Thanks.

Are you using the stupid linksys wireless panel? Or are you using the native windows wireless panel?

Disable any wireless security you may have enabled and see if it still does this.
