Got any links to the features and update?
All that is included when you update the PSP. I'm not sure about how to do it without going to the Update menu on the PSP Home menu, but I know it's possible. From what I remember:
+ Added Web Browser (it's l33t too)
+ Added custom backgrounds
+ Added AAF and WAV audio codecs
+ Added bmp, png, gif, and jpg image support (for backgrounds)
+ other stuff....
