Title: SphtBot Bug?
Post by: David on August 19, 2005, 07:17 PM
[08:15:27] <DaVePwNzJoO> .ver
[08:15:27] That user is not logged on.
[08:15:28] <DaVePwNzJoO> .version
[08:15:28] That user is not logged on.

What's the deal with that? Why would it check for a certain username when processing the version command?

Because it whispers you the version?

I don't think the bot recognizes that I am not on D2, or that it is. I am assuming it is doing it because of that.

SphtBotv3 doesn't natively look for such remote commands, so I'm guessing you have a plugin loaded that's triggering that.

If the plugin is Oper then the only thing I can think of that would cause that error is the bot's logged on Diablo II, and the documentation (http://www.valhallalegends.com/spht/oper/OperDoc.txt) clearly warns "I recommend NOT using the bot on Diablo II.  It current does not handle the mangled starred names."

Yes, that would help.
