They couldn't make it past 1 day of boot camp, I don't think I would make it terribly far (I could try), but they are like 75 yrs old!
There has been a women who was still exercising daily and riding her bicycle at 103 years of age.
But could she carry a 75lbs backpack 30 miles in one day?
Could she run the mile in under 6minutes?

I can't do either of those.
I might be able to carry a
30 pound backpack
5 miles in one day. I might be able to
walk a mile in
20 minutes. I just
might be out of shape.
I could do then run but it would leave me dead almost at the end. I dunno about the bag though.
I'm not totally sure on that stuff. I'm pretty sure about running the mile that quick but the pack weight may have changed since my aunt was in the army (20yrs ago;))
I don't quite understand the article. I'm missing something between:
QuoteThe group has protested every week for the last three years outside the recruitment center
and
Quote"This was not a performance, a joke or civil disobedience," she said. "This was an enlistment attempt."
They attempted to enlist every week for 3 years? :-/
3yrs...that would be July of 2002, wouldn't it?
When did we go into Iraq?...May of 03?
They could have protested Afghanistan.
@iago: They protested each week. It would appear their last attempt was to join up, not sit out front.
Who would protest Afghanistan except the EXTREME liberal pro-life (in one sense cause they like to kill babies) people
Cause they are old slutbags.
I think I could handle that bootcamp stuff :o
QuoteEXTREME liberal pro-life
I think they were protesting because their children went and they didn't want them to.
I think they're stupid. Their children wanted to go...
I don't know that they wanted to go to iraq, but they voluntarilly signed up for the military, and in time of war that is a responsibility they must take.
*Afghanistan, no? We haven't been in Iraq for 3 yrs have we? (I'm seriously askin a question, no sarcasm)
