Just installed "CompuWare 3.1 DriverStudio" today. I tried running Softice, however, Windows locks up after it runs. I can hit Ctrl+D and move around in Softice (mouse and all), but that's it. If I close the Softice window with g, or X, everything is still locked up.

Does anyone else have some experience with getting these two to play nicely together or am I doomed?

I shouldn't need a patch. This version is suppost to support Windows XP without a problem.

Let me guess, you have XP SP2 installed?

Naturally. 50% of the other programs I run don't work if it's not installed.

I seem to recall DriverStudio v3.1 not liking SP2. There used to be a patch on Compuware's site, but hell if I can find it any more.

I've tried earlier versions of driverstudio (3.0) also, but do no avail.
