Title: Raid SATA HDD
Post by: hierholzer on June 16, 2005, 12:00 PM
Might be upgrading my hard drives with the rest of my system,

Would a couple SATA HDD's (prob 7200, 8mb) installed in a RAID 0 be that much faster than a 7200, 8Mb ATA-133?

- or -    Would it be worth the 200 bucks

I personally have regular good ol' ATA's on a 500GB (7200RPM) RAID, and it's not slow at all. I use it to store lots of media. So unless you really think you need the speed, go for it, but otherwise don't bother wasting the money.

The big question is ... do you value your games' load times?
