don't even try to make a binary bot or a chat bot for that matter.

Instead, learn C/C++ and this forum will lose one more vb newb  ;D.

It would help if you actually gave us what your problem is and some code will help too.

Ack. Sounds like it's the I.D. 10-T bug. This is a common bug that many VB users encounter.
Here is how you may work around it.
Open any source file that contains "sck".
Press Ctrl-H.
In the "Find" box type "sck".
In the "Replace" box type ' (a single apostrophe).
Click the "Replace All" button.
Your errors should now be solved.

I dunno if this will help you or not, but add a winsock control to the form, name is sck.

No idea if that will work but im assuming sck is supposed to be the name of a winsock control.

add a little more info next time ;-)

If he can't even figure out that he has to register his MSWinsck OCX and add it to his project, I don't think he should even try to interrupt the code.  ::).

If the component isn't valid, that means the working addition of your compiler isn't a full licensed (sp?) one. Go to a search site download the component and figure out where it goes. Thats step 1

Go buy VB, pirated versions aren't your best choice, now are they?

I know I'll regret this...

Place the OCX in your system folder.
Goto your MS-DOS/command prompt.
Goto your system folder (you may or may not need to do this).
Type "regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx".

Unless you are developing commercial applications or are a company/corporation, it almost doesn't matter. No one's going to stop you from using pirated software for personal use. In fact, there are some products are available for free download for personal use, and require payment for commercial use - a smart move, in my opinion, as any good/useful software is going to be pirated anyway.

If you work for a company and need some software for commercial use, don't pirate it.
