1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll
down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This
means it will make 30 requests at once.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0".
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
If you're using a brodband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now.
There is also a program that can do stuff like this it's FireTune (http://anonym.to/?http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=4534&file=9&evp=7379031c0cc9eff56239ac12bd3caffe)
works. on the max requests, it should be 8 because then you wont be able to visit some sites. and some will think of it as a DDoS attack.
Old, but still postworthy.
And it doesn't matter if it's 30, because I use 30 and no webpages seem to stop me from viewing.
wow....worked for me.
Cool :)
Wow, pages do load alot faster, thanks :)
"Search for Network." - None
I searched for all of them on there cos there's too many to look through, and it doesnt find it. Eh.?
Awsome, its suprising the difference.
Mitosis: Filter as "network". It will find them then.
QwertyMonster: it's in alphabetic order.
Meh: that's not Mitosis
LOL, How could I make that mistake :POh well, im tired so :P
about:config... what can't it do? :)
hey thanks for the tip
btw: Meosis > Mitosis ;D
Thanks. Done it now. Wow faster. :P
Wow. It works.
