Being the guy I am, always trying new things, I decided to install Linux. I look around, and decided that Debain sounded like a good choice. So I download the 7 CDs, burn them, and unplug my Windows harddrive to so I don't have to mess with jumpers.
I re-partition my harddrive into a 2-gig swap and a 118-gig ext2 partition. Installation goes smooth as silk. Everything works on first boot, and I'm happy, but I want to play WoW. So I shut down my computer to find...
I did not install Linux on my spare drive, I installed it on my Windows drive. So I lost basically everything. For my bot, all I have is the old files off source forge. I have to download all my games, software, not to mention re-install windows and VS7.Net.
Oh dang, oooooooops!
So... What did you unplug then?
...I told you you need to be careful, but it sucks that my advice backfired (unplugged wrong hdd). Well, at least now your system is freed of viruses, spyware, and all that "good" stuff us Window's users still have.
Eh, you'll get over it :P
You should have your games on CD anyway, shouldn't you? :P
Could have been like me and lost em. God dam i want my 3 hours of re downloading HL2 back :(
Ah, I've done stuff similar to this before. It sucks.
Buy an external harddrive, you'll never regret it.

I have one sitting here that I never use. *insert regret*
Thank your favorite deity for this fortunate event! You now have a good primary OS to use and you can still load your gaming OS (Winders) on the other hard drive.

That's what I thought as soon as I read his original post.
