I want to start playing CS but I don't know what version most people are playing.... somewhat let me know.

Most people still are in 1.6, followed by Counter-Strike:Source, and then Counter-Strike:Condition Zero.

Source will run on any(i beleive) direct x compatible card.

not that i know of.
most popular cs game right now is condition zero from where i look. most of the people that have played source came back to cs:cz like me ( i dont like cs:s ) :'( its known people to do this

play cs...getbored go to cz.... go to css after like 1 yr of cscz... go back to css after being bored...

I play 1.6.

CS:S is a terrible, terrible attempt at copying 1.6.

1.6 is horrible. I personally don't like looking at stuff that barely resembles what it is. Plus 1.6 is just weird as far as gameplay, and 1.6 doesn't have fast gun switching and stuff like that.

Get a better computer! Mine is like 3.5 years old, with no upgrades, and that doesn't happen.

Source is too different then 1.6. If I don't play 1.6 for a month, I can play source easy, but if I do, I will just get a death, after a death, after a death. :-\
