Title: [Resolved] Memory problem
Post by: Networks on March 15, 2005, 09:39 AM
My application starts off with around 6000 of memory but as soon as I make it connect to battle.net a huge memory increase just comes and it increases to 17000+. Any ideas why this may occur? I use BNCSutil.dl and free nls (on disconnect and after sending accountlogonproof) and kd values (after each decoding of each cdkey) when I am supposed to.

I put this in bot development because I think it may be a problem with BNCSutil since this never happened before I added BNCSutil.dll support.

Before BNCSutil.dll and using bnetauth and leaked NLS.dll's: 7,292 K
After using BNCSutil.dll: 17,892 K

There's definetly some memory leakage going on...

Edit: Version is: 0.2.3

Wow, never mind it was a problem on my end. I forgot to free a handle to nls, which really makes a difference. It runs at 8000+ K now, all is well. Just shows the importance of those free functions.

Zak, post its usage with the GUI *not* minimized.  Even *my* apps can go down below 1k with them minimized.

I can neither confirm nor deny any rumors of minimization during the processing of that screenshot.

32,000k, not 32k.

Opera is a commercial web browser -- www.opera.com
