Eternal Chat uses BNLS, it doesn't need to be updated with the new verbyte. You should look for a working BNLS server, like vl.bnls.userloser.net.
Where do you change the BNLS server it connects to?

You can't (easily) on EternalChat, but you might want to consider trying SphtBotv3 (http://www.valhallalegends.com/spht/SphtBotv3/).

But can I make Wc3 Clan channels with Spht bot?
It has some built-in clan functionality such as handling incoming invitations.
