My recommendation is a neat little tool called BHODemon. I've found the new 2.0 version of BHODemon to be kind of bloated, so I've got a mirror of BHODemon 1.0 (http://stealthbot.net/misc/bhodemon.zip) for ya -- just double-click the DLL file, select "Disable", restart and you're set.
